Google is testing a new search box
Google tries a new search box that appears below the first search result.
Currently, Google’s first search result often includes a search box that allows users to search within that first search result, as shown here for Microsoft.com:
According to a report on Google operating system blog, the new search box is larger and offers a list of search suggestions as you type.
Beyond the current navigation search box like the one pictured above, the new search box appears below the first search result and performs a full Google search rather than only searching in the first result.

Based on Google operating system test searches, the new search box appears to make an exception for Amazon searches, using Amazon’s internal search versus a Google search:
